Edit: I also tried the 'offline' verification method and same thing. Has anyone experienced this? I've done a google and steam search and there has been issues like this but only in regards to people getting random invalid keys responses when attempting to play multiplayer. I just want to play this game, but don't want to invalidate my ability for a steam refund due to playing longer than the alloted two hours.
But, I also never received a confirmation ticket email response back which is the norm when filing a ticket these days. I tried contacting support but I haven't heard back from them, I'm guessing because it's the weekend. I think we have Steam keys, but not Taleworlds keys.
So, I just picked up Warband during the steam sale and I was in game for awhile on and off and was finally prompted to validate my serial key with. For Mount & Blade: Warband on the PC, a GameFAQs message board topic titled 'The CD key/Product code'. The best place to get cheats, codes, cheat codes, walkthrough, guide, FAQ, unlockables, tricks, and secrets for Mount And Blade: With Fire And Sword for PC. After being told numerous times that my key was invalid now I get a 'Authorization Declined' message. The software just doesn't want to accept my key.
